Evening and weekend appointments available!!!

Hi, my name is Mike.
I’m the owner and operator of Northbound Psychotherapy. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 11 years as a registered nurse, including seven in critical care, supporting people through some of life’s most challenging moments.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from Laurentian University and my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University. I’m registered with both the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
My practice is built on inclusivity, respect, and genuine compassion. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and understood—free from judgment and pressure.
I draw on evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and CFT, but my style is approachable and down-to-earth. My goal is to make you feel like you're talking to a friend, or someone you've known for a long time.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and that’s completely okay. Reaching out takes courage, and it’s often the first step toward meaningful change. When you’re ready, send me an email or give me a call, and we can talk about what’s been going on and decide on the next steps together. If it turns out we’re not the right fit, I’ll gladly help connect you with someone who is.
